A sad state of affairs...

What's happening to India ? Anyone who has stayed glued to the idiot box must be feeling the same kind of helplessness and depression that I am feeling right now. Ignorance is bliss sometimes. What can we say or do to bring peace to the families of those people who have lost their lives in the most unfair way possible ?

Mumbaikars have always been praised for their spirit every time something horrible of this sort happens. But by the looks of it, everyone is angry now. And why shouldn't they ? The moment they have recovered from one massacre, they plunge right into another one. Raj Thackeray is surprisingly quiet through all this. He must have noticed that the people who tried to save lives weren't all from Mumbai. How can we be safe when politicians in India themselves do not ensure safety to its citizens ? It's even more shocking when someone like the Dy CM of Maharashtra says something like 'In major cities, such small things happen'. Small things ?!

The terrorists involved were all under 30. The only one captured is 21. He speaks fluent English, sporting a Versace tee and cargo pants... seems like any other college going student except that he's carrying an AK56 rifle. It's so sad that even youngsters are getting dragged into all this. He now says he doesn't want to die and is giving away all the info to the officials. Then why did he get himself into such a dangerous situation in the first place? Didn't he fear for his life before he got into all this ? Was he forced against his own will ? Sad...

Here's what he did at the CST station...

Will any type of punishment compensate for all the lives lost ?
